Who are we ?

Ms. Sophie Labesse is a member of the Order of Chartered Professional Accountants of Quebec (CPA). Since October 2018, she has been Acting Executive Director of the Capital Culture Québec Fund. Ms. Labesse also holds the position of Executive Director of Corporate Financial Services and Tax Measures at SODEC. She has a very good knowledge of cultural industries and financial tools. She is a member of the board of directors of the Capital Culture Québec Fund (FCCQ) and also of the Culture and Communications Investment Fund (FICC).

Ms Girard is an investment, management and finance specialist, with 25 years’ experience in cultural industries. She held the position of Director, Business Affairs & Coproduction at Telefilm Canada. In this senior management role, she was responsable of managing financing agreements, administering the Canada Media Fund programs, as well as making treaty coproduction recommendations to Department of Canadian Heritage. 

Prior to joining Telefilm in 2006 she was General Manager, Enterprise Funding and Investments at SODEC for heigh years. She also worked as financial analyst in funding.  

Graduated in accounting and administration, she started her career as an auditor in both France and Québec. She holds titles of Chartered accountant (CPA CA), and, Masters of Business Administration (MBA).
