The Quebec Culture Capital Fund was created on November 7, 2011 by the Government of Québec and the Fonds de solidarité FTQ to provide innovative financing to Québec cultural organisations interested in exporting their projects and products.

The Quebec Culture Capital Fund has a $100 million budget to support the marketing and export of major Québec cultural products.

It proposes new and innovative financial instruments in the financing of Québec cultural organisations, which take the form of equity voting shares, preferred shares, and loans.

X3 Productions

In May 2012, the Quebec Culture Capital Fund announced a $3 million investment in the Québec company X3 Productions.

Founded in 2010, X3 Productions specialises in the creation and production of travelling exhibitions that feature educational content and new technologies. Indiana Jones and the Adventure of Archaeology and STAR WARS Identities are two examples of its work.

The fund’s investment will support the development of these two exhibits for the international market and enable X3 Productions to gain a more solid foothold in a booming industry. Over the next few years, X3 Productions’ exhibitions will travel across Europe, Asia, and South America.
